The secret of real living

O God, you are my God, I seek you. My soul thirsts for you, my body yearns for you, in an arid, parched land, without water. Psalm 63:2

Some Christians have learned little about the daily devotional life. Some time ago, a police officer asked me what was the secret of the victorious life. I told him that no magic formula could be pronounced. If a word could describe it, I would say capitulation. The second word I would say would be devotion. Nothing can replace a daily devotional life with Christ. Your calm time, your prayer time, the time you spend in the Word, is absolutely essential for a happy Christian life. You cannot be a happy, dynamic and powerful Christian outside of a daily walk with Christ. Christ today calls Christians to purification, consecration, consecration and full submission. This will make the difference between success and failure in your spiritual life. It will be the difference between being helped and helping others. It will make a difference in your habits, your prayer life, your reading of the Bible, your gifts, your testimony, and your church membership. It is the Christian hour of decision !
