Few Christians doubt that Jesus is their source but they do not always have the confidence and assurance that He will give them what they need. Here are some wonderful reminders of the Lord's concern for you.
He knows all about our personal problems. "For your Father knows what you need before you ask him" (Matthew 6: 8).
"And my God will provide all your needs according to his riches, with glory, in Jesus Christ" (Philippians 4:19). You have been promised : "In Christ are found all the riches of glory. In Jesus, God has given you everything you need for life and godliness."
God really cares about you and He is touched by your need. "Discharge Him from all your cares, for He Himself cares for you" (1 Peter 5: 7). The Greek meaning of this last part of the sentence is : "You count for Him." This can be difficult to understand in the midst of your long ordeal. But even at this moment God has a great interest in everything that touches your life: your work, your family, your children, your relationships, your health.
"Do not give up your assurance, to which is paid a great remuneration" (Hebrews 10:35). God said : "Hang on to your trust, because I am a rewarder." To put it simply : "It pays to cling." "Without faith it is impossible to be pleasing to Him; For he that cometh to God must believe that God exists, and that he is the rewarder of them that seek him" (Hebrews 11: 6).
Do you really want to please Christ ? So give Him complete trust. Hold on and not stagger. And remember the promise He made you:
"And my righteous man shall live by faith ; But if he retires, my soul does not take pleasure in him. We are not of those who withdraw to lose themselves, but of those who have faith to save their souls" (Hebrews 10: 38-39).
