The tactics of Satan

The Lord God commanded man : You may eat the fruit of all the trees of the garden, but you shall not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for on the day that you you will eat, you will die, that's for sure. Genesis 2:16,17

The serpent then said to the woman : You absolutely will not die. Genesis 3:4

What is the tactics of Satan to seduce Eve ?

He sneaks into the garden.

He is attacking an isolated person.

He questions God's commandment by asking a question : Did God really say : You shall not eat any of the fruit of the trees in the garden ?

He draws Eve into a dialogue to interpret God's commandment instead of just quoting it.

He affirms the opposite of what God said and gives a reason by mixing a little truth with the lie: Your eyes will be opened.

He dangles a marvelous area of ​​knowledge that God would hide from man. He sows doubt on his love.

He is careful not to tell Adam and Eve about the consequences of disobedience.

He hides his real goal: to seize the earth to rule instead of man.

Result : Eve eats the forbidden fruit and offers it to her husband. Their eyes open, not to a marvelous universe, but to their downfall. Sin has entered the world. Fear seizes them...

Even today, the Word of God, the Bible, is a prime target for Satan. He manipulates the unbelievers who seek to pass off God as a liar and unjust by questioning his Word. For them, there is no absolute truth. They cut the Bible into pieces to better introduce the lie. Satan makes man believe that he no longer has any duties, but only rights.

Take care ! The ancient serpent, the one called devil and Satan, the one who deceives the entire inhabited earth (Revelation 12:9) has not changed his tactics. If we trust God who wills our good and if we obey his Word, the deceiver will have no hold on us.
