The Thought of the Day of 01/11/2016 : The lucky charm of the old soldier - By Jean Louis Gaillard

Good reading and good listening on C.J.Q.S., your Radio Gospel at this address : http://cjqsradio.blogspot.be/p/radio.html Come numerous bless you the ears the listening of this beautiful radio. Be blessed.

"God is able to make all grace." 2 Corinthians 9.8

The wisdom of God and men are remote. Thus, God provides for the needs of his children in his own way, which often holds many surprises.
God has put its resources at hand.

At the time of the pioneers in the United States, an old soldier passes through a village. He knocks on the door of a house to ask for bread. The man who opens his remarks that carries a leather pouch hanging from his neck.
- What have you there, my friend ?
- A lucky charm given to me when I left the army.
- Let me see that ...
He opens it and pulls out a crumpled paper he can not read. He hands it to his interlocutor that does not return.
- Well, it's your certificate of discharge of the federal army, signed by General George Washington himself ! It gives you the right to a pension for life !

Aghast, the old soldier realizes that he has, for nearly 30 years, focused on the promise of a pension that would have covered all their needs ... If he had requested ! It would not have been poor and forced to beg to support themselves.

incredible story, but true, that resembles that of many Christians. God has made promises ; He puts his spiritual riches at our disposal and we are just a mediocre life, while the provisions of God remain unused !

Do not forget that God has put its resources (his word, his peace, his joy, his family) within reach, thanks to the work of Jesus Christ. Let us seize every day of the promises of God's Word to support and strengthen our faith.

A Prayer for Today

Lord, open my eyes so that I could discover your kindness to me. I never doubt that you are the only one who can take care of myself in the best possible way.
