"And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou bless me and enlarge my border you if your hand is with me, and if you keep me from evil, so that I do not grieve me!. .. And God granted his request. "(The Bible, 1 Chronicles 4:10)

 

Jabez asked God to extend its limits.

Other translations say "Extensions my territory" (New International Version), "Increases my land" (Word of Life), "Increases my possessions" (Fluent French).

We all have our limits. They can be physical, emotional, intellectual, financial, social, etc. But the good news is that God can extend your limits ! It can give you new strength, restore your emotions, your relationships, heal your wounds, give you the intelligence you give financial and material blessings, etc.

The following passage touches me particularly. He speaks of a barren woman and this is what God said, "Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations : spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes Because thou! pour it on the right and left; thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities fear not, for thou shalt not be confused;. do not blush, for you will not be disgraced ; But you will forget the shame of your youth. " Isaiah 54.2-4

God speaks of expansion, expansion. Jabez asked God to expand its limits. And if you asked him the same thing today ?

I believe with all my heart that God wants you to live a happy and fulfilled life that goes far beyond your current limits.

A Prayer for Today

Lord, you know my current limitations (you can quote them, whether financial, physical, emotional, relational, etc.) on your word, I ask you to extend the order that I go away with you. Thank you for your miracle is to work in my life now. Amen !
