The Thought of the Day of 29/10/2016 : Have faith. God hears your prayers ! - By John Roos

"Daniel, do not be afraid ; for from the first day you had at heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard [...] The head of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty days: but, lo, Michael [...] came to my rescue. " Daniel 10.12-13

 

Daniel prayed and sought God, but for days he received no response. What did he have thought ? Why remained unanswered prayers ? Had he displeased God ? Was he guilty of sin ?
Have faith. God hears your prayers. He will answer you !

He finally received a response. His prayers were heard. Moreover, they had been heard from the first day. So why had he received any response ? Because there was a spiritual battle in the heavenly world. God sent an answer but Daniel had not received. The answer finally reached him ... twenty-one days after his prayer, and only because the archangel Michael helped the messenger to pass.

Today, remember that you too are engaged in a spiritual battle. The devil and his demons are thieves looking to steal your joy (John 10:10), you steal the blessings of God, destroy the work of God in your life, you block all possible means and delay God's answers to your prayers.

The battle is real. This is of intense fighting. Remember that God has given you spiritual authority. Put on "the whole armor of God" in order to "stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). Remember that "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal." If you fight by the Spirit, you can destroy strongholds of the enemy (2 Cor 10.4).

But remember also that you must be persistent. Pray with fervor, passion. and audacity. If you do not receive a reply immediately, do not give up. Have faith. God hears your prayers. He will answer you !

A Prayer for Today

Father, help me to conduct spiritual warfare. I believe in you to victory ! Thank you to hear my prayers. I will not give up! Thank you because I trust you. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
