"Any instrument of war made against you shall prosper ; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment, thou wickedness of convaincras This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [...]." Isaiah 54:17
Our company is hit by an epidemic of insecurity. Many people go through an identity crisis because they do not really know who they are. Hence, they base their value on erroneous bases : their business, their appearance, their courtship, their knowledge or their property.
We must know who we are in Christ, receive fully God's love for us and found our sense of value on what God says to us, not what we do.
What do you think of yourself ? How do you see yourself ? You come there to compare yourself to others and feel diminished if you can not do what they do or be like them ? Have you ever said "I would like to have his physical" or "I would like to have what they have" or "I wish I could do what you do ?"
Everyone knows moments of insecurity. I know what it's like to feel inferior and ill at ease. I grew up in a very unstable family environment and I've never really felt safe in my childhood. That is why this need to feel safe and good about myself today.
The good news is that we did not need to live with this feeling of insecurity. God's will for us is that we felt rather very safe and did not live in fear. We were created to be good about ourselves, secure, confident and self-assured ; this is part of our spiritual DNA of born-again Christians. But for this, we must know who we are in Christ, receive fully God's love for us and found our sense of value on what God says to us, not what we do.
A text that has helped me to understand this truth is found in Isaiah 54:17 : "Any instrument of war made against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment, thou wickedness of convaincras Tel is. the heritage of the servants of the Lord [...] ".
This text clearly states that as servants and children of God and our relationship with Jesus Christ acquired at the price of blood, we inherited the right to feel safe. We are joint-heirs with Christ and all he has is ours too. But we must take by faith, which means that we believe before seeing it. And as we add more faith in what we think of ourselves as what others say, we must proclaim that the Bible says to us as children of God. It is only thus that we will overcome the negative mentality of the world that wants us we compared to others instead of seeing ourselves as we are in Christ.
A Prayer for Today
Lord, I thank you for having made me a new creature in Christ. I want to live according to my spiritual DNA and accept me as (the) I am in you: a child of God and joint heir (AD) with Christ.
