The gospel is the solution for rebels, perverts and all sinners. It's the only weapon that can save. It is not a weapon of destruction but an instrument of salvation. We must bring this Gospel before men and not be afraid to preach it even to those who appear beautiful outside, and who, inside, are full of dead bones and all kinds of impurities (Matthew 23:27 ).
Jesus was not afraid to preach the true gospel and to put the Pharisees before their faults. While a Pharisee had invited him to his table and was amazed that Jesus did not wash his hands, Jesus told him that the Pharisees were "full of greed, malice, and common sense." ! (Luke 11: 39-40). A teacher of the law who heard this answered him : "Master, speaking thus, it is also we who you insult" (Luke 11:45). I imagine that this professor hoped that Jesus would exculpate him for what he called an insult, but Jesus continued his judgment by speaking now to all the professors of the law !
One of the great problems of modern evangelism is that people are afraid to tell people about their sins. Be careful, I do not believe that it is necessary to replace the work of the Holy Spirit to convince the world of sin, but we must tell people that they must repent because, inescapably, they have sinned! We do not replace the work of the Holy Spirit, but we tell them that they have sinned. Modern evangelism makes people think that they are great and that they just need to add Jesus to their lives.
We are surrounded by millions of religious people who think they are saved. What was John the Baptist's message to them ? "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them : Races of vipers, who taught you to flee the wrath to come ? Produce therefore fruit worthy of repentance, and do not pretend to say in yourselves : We have Abraham for father !" (Matthew 3: 7-9). Who would dare say that today ? Has the man's heart improved ?
