The Enemy rumbles like a wave against the saints who have no share with the darkness. Satan can give them the impression that everything collapses in their lives: their prayers seem to be blocked, Heaven seems to be lead, and they endure trials on all sides. At such moments, their hearts can murmur condemnations to them : "You lack faith. If only you believed with more righteousness - if you were closer to Jesus, if your thoughts were not so bad - none of that would happen to you. You'd be at the top, like the ones you see around you. You would rejoice in abundance and you would hear God speak to you clearly."
It is not so ! Those who are spoken of in Hebrews 10, who have suffered attacks, had a true faith that "comes with a sincere heart to the fullness of faith" (Hebrews 10:22). Indeed, they are referred to in this epistle as the "holy brothers" (see Hebrews 3: 1). The author knew that there was a war for their hearts in the midst of great afflictions.
Simply put, Satan's main goal is to extinguish a Christian's light, to obscure it, or to suppress it altogether. Show me a Christian who suddenly comes out of spiritual darkness, flowing into the light of Christ, His holiness and purity, and I will show you someone who will soon know the battle of his life.
Is that your case ? Do you endure a great fight right now ? Beloved, it is probably not because of doubt or sin, but because of the light you have embraced. Light produces confidence in Jesus, and the more light you receive, the more you entrust Himself.
It is your trust in Christ that Satan is determined to sink. He has directed the powers of hell upon you to draw you deep into fear and disbelief. But even now, God keeps a great interest in everything that concerns your life: your work, your family, your children, your relationships, your health. He is really concerned; You have much importance in His eyes.
