Par Priscilla
Here are some examples of conversion :
. A man from the land of Gadara gave his life to Christ after being delivered from a legion of demons (Mark 5:1-20).
. The crucified thief with Jesus received the Gospel at the very place of his execution (Luke 23:39-43).
. The centurion named Cornelius received him in his house (Acts 10).
. The jailer of the city of Philip received the gospel in the prison where he worked (Acts 16:22-34).
. The Ethiopian eunuch received him on the chariot where he was sitting (Acts 8:26-40).
. Saul of Tarsus met Jesus on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-22) as he pursued the Christians, wishing to capture them and put them in prison.
And these are just a few examples. Let's drop the wall of our clichés that is so often a hindrance when we evangelize. Do not limit God!
Some receive Jesus as Savior from a miracle, a healing or a word that has deeply touched them. Some conversions are immediate, radical, others require more time and a long process. Each person is really different. Of course, I think we can convert today as dramatically as 20 years ago. But let's be careful not to systematize.
