The wall of the tepidity

The Church herself often hinders evangelization. Is not it paradoxical ? This Church, which is the pillar of truth, is not always the support of the truth, it does not evangelize as it should. It is enough to attend the evangelistic meetings in the local churches to realize it. The difference between the number of participants in worship and evangelism meetings is blatant. Take a look at the bookstore counter and count the number of books dealing with evangelism.

 Does the Christian need a green light from a pastor or church to evangelize ? Not at all. To evangelize is a commandment of God. And it is up to every Christian to settle this matter before God.

We are aware of this state of spiritual lukewarmness, of the blatant gap between what Jesus commands and the spiritual state of the modern Church on the ground when we hold Gospel Vision events. We sometimes travel thousands of miles, invite evangelists from abroad, move teams, invest funds, and in the evening, when the program begins, the audience is 95% non-Christian! Someone may say : "But it's great ! What are you sorry for ? Is it not the goal of evangelization, to reach the lost ?".

Indeed, the goal is to reach the lost, but where are the members of the local churches ? Are they sitting in front of the TV watching an entertainment show, in a pizzeria, at the cinema ? If they had come, they could have invited friends from their circle of relationships. We would have been more unconverted and had the opportunity to further consolidate the work phase in a row. The Church unfortunately pays its inconsistencies... As the evangelist passes, but the pastor and the members of his congregation remain. And we must take care of new souls.
