The wasps mirror
You look at things the way they look. 2 Corinthians 10.7
I observe the reflecting pool set up in front of Colmar train station, shining in the sun on this beautiful summer day. Two wasps let themselves be attracted by this mirror and fell into the water. One of them is caught in a whirlwind, frantically flapping its legs and wings, to no avail. The other barely gets out of this trap.
Like these two wasps, we can be seduced by many things that shine before our eyes : addictions, search for peace in questionable practices, etc... They constitute a trap, sometimes fatal, for those who let themselves be taken.
The reminder of the apostle Paul remains relevant today : only the Gospel of Jesus Christ, dead and risen, is the power of salvation for each of us. Any other doctrine and anything that can distract us from the grace of God in Christ, the only source of salvation, resembles this mirror of the wasps of Colmar.

Proposed reading : 2nd letter to the Corinthians, chapter 11, verses 1 to 6.
11.1 If only you could take some madness from me ! But yes, support me !
11.2 For I am jealous of you, of the jealousy of God, because I have betrothed you to one husband to present you to Christ as a pure virgin.
11.3 However, as the serpent deceived Eve with his cunning, I am afraid that your thoughts will become corrupted and turn away from simplicity and purity to Christ.
11.4 In fact, if someone comes to preach to you another Jesus than the one we have preached, or if you receive a different spirit than the one you have received or a different gospel than the one you have accepted, you will endure it very well.
11.5 Now I do not consider that I have been in any way inferior to these super-apostles.
11.6 If I am incompetent in eloquence, I am not in knowledge, and we have clearly demonstrated this among you from every standpoint and on every occasion.
