The wims of time
As long as the earth remains, the sowing and the harvest, the cold and the heat, the summer and the winter, the day and the night will not cease. Genesis 8.22
We all talk about the wims of time. The subject worries us. The outspokenness of scientists on this subject is well known : “If nations do not react, the situation will become catastrophic. Some regions of the earth will suffer terrible consequences with their inhabitants."
Don't these alarming prognoses remind us that the Creator is ultimately the Master of weather and climates ? Perhaps today's climate problems, often caused by our behavior, are a way for the Almighty to remind humans that he exists.
Such a divine choice to remind us of his existence seems unfair at first sight. But hasn't mankind become deaf to the voice of God ? Have we turned our backs on it and made its moral law a taboo subject ?
Rather than argue with him, let's notice that the promises of the faithful God made to Noah in the verse of the day have been fulfilled for thousands of years. Indeed, if for a single year sowing and harvest were completely lacking on our earth, the world would perish.
Let us therefore thank him for his great loyalty.

31.35 Thus says the Eternal, who made the sun to give light by day, who appointed the moon and the stars to give light by night, who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar, whose name is the Eternal of hosts :
31.36 If these laws cease before me, saith the Eternal, the seed of Israel also shall cease forever to be a nation before me.
31.37 Thus says the Eternal : If the heavens above can be measured, if the foundations of the earth below can be searched, then I will cast off all the seed of Israel.
