The Word is the truth

Searching the Scriptures

You have heard of this hope before through the word of the truth, the gospel. It has come to you and to the rest of the world, where it is bearing fruit and progressing. This is also the case among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth. Colossians 1.5-6

We live in a time when it's hard to believe what people are saying. Blogs and social media present lies so well that it is often difficult to tell the difference between fact and fiction. It is proven that the statistics are falsified, that the photos are faked, that even our eyes can fool us into believing that what we are seeing is true when in reality it is a cleverly disguised lie.

The Bible is not just a book full of truths ; it is itself the truth. Everything that is true correlates directly with the Scriptures. God tells us that his Word is immutable in heaven and that it will not change. Therefore, his Word is the final authority on all matters in life. God himself is subject to his Word.

There will inevitably be a time in your life when you seek the truth. Perhaps you will look for it on yourself, on a situation, on a problem the world is facing, or even on God and his relationship to you.

When you are seeking the truth, always consult the Word first. It is not just full of truths ; it is the truth.

Listen the voice of God

Let’s take the time to listen to what God means. Do you need to put the Word of God at the heart of your ambitions and actions ?

Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : "Lord, teach me to meditate on and obey your Word. Come and transform my thoughts through your Word which is the truth. Amen."

Praise God

To praise God is to show him our gratitude. What are your subjects of recognition today ? Take a moment to thank the Lord.

Act today

Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.

Honor the Lord

Our route for the day comes to an end. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Thank you my God for your Word where there is no lie and no manipulation. It is a light on my path. Yours is the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
