It is he (God) who made the earth by his power. He founded the world with his wisdom, he opened the sky with his intelligence. Jeremiah 10. 12
Indeed, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son so that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3.16
The world does it make sense ?
It is the title of a book in which we seek the answer to this question in science or in the relationship of man with mother earth. Many scientists see in the history of life and the universe only chance and necessity. For many, too busy to think about it, this question does not arise.
The believer relies on the revelation that God has made in the Bible, and trusts his statements. The God of eternity, Creator of the heavens and the earth, of men and of angels, wanted to make himself known through this creation. "The heavens declare the glory of God" (Psalm 19. 1). His power, his wisdom, his goodness are seen in what he has done. The world is also the sphere where God makes his love known.
Good, evil, love, hatred, truth, lies come together in society. God revealed the perfect good in Jesus, his Son, who came as man to earth. In him love triumphed over hatred and evil. His death on the cross brings life to anyone who believes that Jesus wants to save him. Unfortunately, the one who rejects him remains "dead" in his faults, without a living relationship with God, and he goes ahead of his judgment.
For the believer this new life received by grace on earth is the life of the risen Jesus : the eternal life. As Jesus ascended to heaven, all believers will be gathered there. This hope already fills the hearts of those who wait for Jesus. Yes, the world has sense. God came there in Jesus to call all humans to turn to him for a glorious future.
