There is a God !

"Seek the LORD while he is, and call upon him while he is near." Isaiah 55.6

Listening to the news that is coming, you may be saying that one thing is certain: the end of this world is near. Do not be discouraged, for another thing is just as much: God is an amazing screenwriter.

In his great richness, God meets each of us in a very specific way.

In one region of Germany there were teachers who sought to make their pupils atheists from their childhood. One of them forced the whole class one day to write a hundred times : "There is no God." The children obeyed, except for a 10-year-old girl, Anna.

Anna had Christian parents and was herself converted. Knowing the word, she had the courage to write a hundred times : "THERE IS GOD." It did not fail to irritate her master who threatened to beat her by saying to her : « "Tomorrow you will write me two hundred times : "There is no God." »

When she reached the house, the poor little girl told her mother all about it, crying: courage was beginning to fail. She was heard whispering: "Mom, I do not want to go to school tomorrow." Herr E. will get even more angry ... "The mother of the child tried to reassure her:" Anna, we must go I will go with you, and we shall see the Director."

The next morning, mother and daughter prayed together to the Lord to help them and bravely set out for school. They arrived very early and asked to speak to the Headmaster, praying that he would not be an enemy of God. Anna's mother explained why she had come. The Director's reply was so extraordinary that Anna and her mother were seized with horror :

"Madame, Herr E. died suddenly last night.

Thanks to the courage of this little girl, an incredulous man, on the last day of his life, had once more had the testimony that "there is a God."

In his great richness, God meets each of us in a very specific way. His infinite goodness can catch up with the most refractory and hardened hearts. What does it bring us to resist it ? Pride ? The Bible tells us that it gives thanks to the humble. Superiority ? The Word tells us again that even being a man, he was perfect. The purpose of God is not to fight against us, but to bring peace. So why not just turn down the weapons, and recognize who he is, and what he did ?

A prayer for today

Father, today I humble myself and I recognize that you exist. I repent of my sins and accept the sacrifice your son Jesus has made to save me. I believe in you, and from now on I give you my life with all that it contains. Father, today my heart is approaching you. I want to be at peace with you.
