Time flies... let's be intentional
Man is like a breath, his life passes like a shadow. Psalm 144.4
If there is something that changes over the years, it is this awareness of life that is speeding up, of the barely lived moments that have already passed, and the decades that go by at high speed.
It is crucial for us as a believer to make sense of the time God gives us, to use it effectively and with inspiration. To be intentional is to give destiny to the time we have.
Never assume that inspiration is passive, and that it is in the moment that your minutes will have eternal weight. Without intentionality, time will slip through our fingers and we will turn around laden with regret.
"Without intention, time will slip through our fingers and we will turn around laden with regret."
We can choose, today, not to endure life, but to live it. It all begins with a thirst to seek the presence of God, so that our time is saturated with his life. This continues with constant alignment with the promises and words that the Holy Spirit gives us in private. Ultimately, it is going through the minutes of our daily life seeking to see Christ formed in us.
As we do this, our time will have an eternal weight, our life will have a sense of the will of God, and most of all, our existence will bear the imprint of Christ in this world.
An action for today
Even today, let us decide to spend time in the presence of God, so that our actions are imbued with his life. Every day, let's open our Bibles so that his word will guide us in what is prepared in advance.
