Tips for giving your testimony

. Tell the truth without exaggerating anything (do not invent a life that you have not experienced...)

. Do not wait to be perfect to start.

. Do it with pleasure, even if some things about your past life are not very glorious.

. Be yourself, do not try to imitate someone

. Be succinct and interesting.

. Do not get lost in useless details.

. Do not focus on the past.

. Do not lose the goal of raising awareness of the need to receive Christ.

. Never harm anyone.

. Have a natural position : do not shout, do not gesticulate, do not embarrass your listeners.

. If you talk to someone, look at them.

. If you talk to a lot of people, look in the middle of the room.

. Do not strafe words.

. Do not fall asleep to those who listen to you.

. Mark breaks and allow your listeners to think, and in some cases laugh...

Henri Nouwen, Canadian writer wrote : "A story confronts, but it must not oppress. It inspires, but must not in any way manipulate. A story invites a meeting, a dialogue, a mutual sharing... As long as we have stories to tell, there will be hope. As long as we can tell the stories of men and women who have known the love of God, we will always have good reasons to venture into this new country in which new stories are hidden".
