To assume their responsibilities

Blessed is the man whom you correct, Eternal, whom you teach by your law, to give him peace when misfortune comes, while the grave is dug for the wicked ! Psalm 94.12-13

When we are disappointed in life or in people, our responsibility is to stay steady and continue to follow God's plan for our lives. Notice that this verse from Psalm 94 does not say that God keeps us calm but that He gives us the power to remain calm.

We are partners with God. Its role is to give us the ability to maintain our calm. On our side, we must be responsible. An irresponsible person wants God to do everything while he does nothing but follow his feelings. Don't let your emotions run the show and proclaim out loud now, "I've been in my last session of self-pity."

You will feel much better if you take responsibility instead of running away from it. God takes care of you, but he won't do your part. He allows you to do it yourself and, let me insist, He will not do what is under your responsibility ! I challenge you to stand firm, take responsibility, and begin to work with God to obtain that blessed life He has planned for you.

Listen the voice of God

Let's take the time to listen to what God wants to say. Do you have to take a strong act in order to fulfill a responsibility that God asks you to bear? Let God speak to you about it.

Praying is simple. Speak to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is a sample prayer : “Lord, your Word says you have given me the ability to stay calm. I will not let my feelings rule my life, I will act responsibly and respond in the way you want me to."

Praise God

To praise God is to express our gratitude to him. Today, what are your subjects of recognition ? Take a time to thank the Lord.

Act today

Now, deepen what you have received. What can you change today to receive more peace ?

Honor the Lord

Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Thank you for your trust, Lord, for you entrust me with responsibilities. To you be the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
