To conquer anguish (3)

“The righteous have as much confidence as a young lion” (Proverbs 28.1)

Are you worried today ? Then program your mind with the promises that follow. To make them even more effective, why not always keep them handy for regular reading ? Here they are :

1- “Strengthen yourselves and be full of courage! Do not be afraid and do not be frightened... for with us there is the Lord our God who will help us and who will fight for us” (2 Chronicles 32. 7-8).

2- “However, on that day I will deliver you, declares the Lord, and you will not be delivered into the hands of the men who frighten you so much” (Jeremiah 39:17).

3- “Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you... If you cross water, I will be myself with you ; if you cross the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. If you walk in the fire, you will not burn yourself and the flame will not hurt you” (Isaiah 43. 1-2).

4- “Do not be afraid and do not allow yourself to be frightened in front of this large crowd, because it will not be you who will fight, it will be God” (2 Chronicles 20. 15).

5- “I told you this so that you may have peace in me. You will have to suffer in the world, but take courage : I have overcome the world” (John 16. 33).

6- “I lie down and immediately fall asleep in peace, for it is you alone, Lord, who give me security in my home” (Psalm 4: 9).

7- “But he (the Lord) turns against those who do evil to erase their memory from the earth” (Psalm 34. 17).

8- “You will regain confidence, because there will be hope. You will look around you and lie down in safety” (Job 11. 18).

9- “I will make of you an unshakeable bronze wall for this people. They will make war against you, but they will not prevail over you, for I myself will be with you to save you and deliver you” (Jeremiah 15. 20).

10- “Indeed, I have the assurance that neither death nor life, neither angels nor dominions, neither the present nor the future, nor the powers, nor the height, nor the depth, nor any other creature will not be able to separate us from the love of God manifested in Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39).

11- “Those who know your name trust in you, for you do not forsake those who seek you, Lord !” (Psalm 9. 11).

12- “The Lord is your keeper, the Lord is your protective shade, he stands at your right hand. During the day, the sun will not hurt you, nor the moon during the night. The Lord will keep you from all evil ; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going and your coming from now and forever” (Psalm 121. 5-8).

You thus have the keys to victory !
