To remain faithful

I have written this to you who believe on the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life and that you will continue to believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5:13

In the Bible, we rarely find the verbs “to feel” or “to feel”. On the other hand, we frequently encounter the verbs "to know", "to have the assurance or the certainty". The apostle John says ? He is not the only one ? that the things written in the inspired book were to communicate certainties. Because. We are well aware that, as far as our raison d'être and our ultimate ends are concerned, we need more than feelings, approximations, and hopes.

To those He led to write what we call the Bible, God instead breathed the word "hope" which, in the original, meant something much more expected than hoped for. To have faith is to have the firm assurance of the things one hopes for so that it becomes the demonstration of the things which one does not see. (Hebrews 11.1).

No one can flourish without relying on certainties. Unfortunately, humans often look for them where they are not. Also, nothing solid follows.

Honoré de Balzac said : "Perhaps certainty is the secret of long loyalty."

He was certainly right. You cannot stay true to what is uncertain for long.

Blessed be God, these are certain things he has communicated to us in his Word. It was written to serve as a foundation for our faith and our fidelity.
