To the hospital

The Hospital centers are very special places. The facades of hospitals are often as sad as what happens there. Suffering is daily. So much suffering, so much pain, so many deaths. There are births, but so many abortions. Some hospitals have killed more people than some civil wars.

You can enter a room and talk about Jesus. I will always remember a sister I visited in palliative care. As I prayed for her, I felt the sky descend to her room. That same day, while she was in terrible pain, we heard a man in the next room screaming in pain, without anyone being able to do anything. This dear sister prayed for him, when he had no strength left. What compassion. It was this compassion that drove Jesus to work miracles. Jesus loves people.

One day I was invited to pray for a young man who was also terminally ill with cancer. I entered the room to discover about fifteen people. The cancer had caused in this young man's body an enormous size on his shoulder. I put my hands on this size, praying with all my heart, but the young man told me that he had his doctrine, and his doctrine was that God was certainly the author of this disease. An atmosphere of disbelief reigned in the room, and almost all were sick. I prayed for everyone. Only one seemed truly refractory to the gospel, because of his friend's illness. He had a double disc herniation with osteoarthritis in his discs between the vertebrae, and the suffering was such that he had already fainted several times. He had been operated on twice, and a third, more dangerous operation was planned.

When I was asked to pray for him, I did not really want to do it. He showed no faith, but agreed that I pray. In an instant, without feeling anything, he was completely healed. For the first time in years, he was able to touch the ground with his hands, and he was jumping for joy all the way to the exit of this hospital.
