Searching the Scriptures

He brought out his people with gold and silver, and no one stumbled among his tribes. Psalm 105.37

This verse is an inspired description of the psalmist of how the Lord delivered the people of Israel by bringing them out of Egypt. It centers on two aspects of redemption - namely the financial aspect and the physical aspect.

It is said that God brought out his people with silver and gold, with great riches. Then it is said that none staggered, none were weak or sick, none were unable to make this long trek through the desert of Egypt. It is a picture of redemption.

Redemption is not just for our spiritual being. It is total coverage from God for every area of ​​our life. When God redeems us, he provides for the needs of our physical being. He provides for our material needs.

Remember that just 24 hours ago Israel was an underprivileged, enslaved people, barely having anything to eat, having nothing in abundance. In 24 hours, by an act of redemption, God changed everything. How did the change take place? By one thing, by having faith in the Passover lamb, in his shed blood, and by feeding on his flesh.

For us today, God offered his Lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ. By faith in his blood and feeding on him, we will have even more than what Israel received through the Passover lamb.

Listen to the voice of God

Let’s take the time to listen to what God means. Let the Lord cover your every need with his work of redemption.

Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example prayer : "Lord, help me to continue my walk with you, even as I walk through the desert. I trust that you will meet all my needs."
