Transformed people

The disciples were all filled with the Holy Spirit and they spoke the word of God confidently. Acts of the Apostles 4:31

From the first ski lesson, Pierre believed that he had to know how to hurtle down a slope on the boards... We understand that he was afraid !

Isn't it sometimes the same with regard to faith ? When it comes to believing in God, how many times have I been told with envy : "You are lucky, you have faith !" And to let oneself be stopped by the fear of not knowing how to live the new life after which we aspire so much.

These disciples of Jesus Christ (header verse) are uneducated common people (Acts of the Apostles 4:13). But they were transformed, their fears swept away, their tongues loosed the day God sent his Holy Spirit to them at Pentecost. A few weeks earlier, the apostle Peter had denied his master for fear of death. Now he speaks boldly to Jewish judges.

Jesus promises the gift of his Spirit to all who believe in him for the forgiveness of their sins (Acts 1:8 and 2:38-39). And this Spirit is a spirit of life: it changes the heart and brings the life of God to it. It is a spirit that fills with strength, love and wisdom (2 Timothy 2:7). The Holy Spirit makes a believer a child of God and leads him at all times.

Take the step of faith. And God will transform you.
