Trust in God
Isaiah 26.3 - "To him who is firm in his feelings you assure peace, because he trusts in you".
How can we stay calm and serene when we are going through hardships ? Only our God can allow us to do this, since he tells us so in his Word. He urges us over and over again not to worry.
What does : “To him who is firm in his feelings” mean ? It is the one who puts all his trust in his God, who decides not to look at the circumstances, nor at his feelings and his emotions, but rather submits them to the Word of God. We can cast off all forms of worry and fear in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4.6 - “Do not worry about anything, but in everything make your needs known to God through prayers and supplications, in an attitude of gratitude. And the peace of God, which surpasses all that can be understood, will guard your heart and your mind in Jesus Christ”.
We can then submit our worries, our burdens to our Father who loves us, with confidence, and thank him in advance because He will give us his peace and help us find a solution to our problems. It is no longer our struggle as soon as we trust Him, it is His struggle. We do not sit idly by, we do what we have to do and leave the rest to God. The Lord promises us in his Word to be with us every day and to accompany us. He asks us not to worry, to have confidence in Him because He alone knows the situation and the solution and we believe in Him. We can thank Him for His grace, His love because He takes care of us.
Isaiah 12.2 - “God is my Savior. I will be confident and not afraid any more, for the LORD, yea, the LORD is my strength and the subject of my praise. He saved me."
Proverbs 18.10 - "The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous runs therein, and is beyond reach there."
We want to obey our God, walk according to his commandments, love Him with all our heart and love our neighbor, in order to become more and more like Jesus. Thus we will remain in communion with Him and He will give us His peace.
Only God assures us supernatural peace, we cannot get it by trusting in a friend or even in our spouse or in our family members, because only God can assure us this peace, because we have trusted in Him. . Where do we get this certainty ? From the Word of God. God is faithful and his Word is truth. We believe in his promises and have already experienced His grace, His love, we have seen that He accompanies us and helps us in our difficulties and challenges. We are more than conquerors thanks to Christ who strengthens and protects us.
In Psalm 91 God promises us his divine protection in the face of danger. So the Lord tells us not to fear the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that roams in darkness, nor the plague that strikes at noon. In this current troubled time, let’s not be afraid of the coronavirus. Trust in the Lord Almighty and He will protect us. We can thank the Lord, praise Him for his goodness and faithfulness. He is our rock, our refuge, He fills us with his supernatural peace.
Lord, thank you very much for your love, your grace, we always want to seek Your face, take refuge in Your throne and we believe that You protect us and that You alone You cover us with Your supernatural peace, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen !
