Use the Word of God to increase your faith

The Spirit has made it clear to me that all my prayers are totally vain if I do not pray with faith. I can cry, intercede, agonize and suffer the pains of childbirth in prayer, and have no impact on the Lord - unless I do it with a simple faith, like that of a child.

The Word says : "Let not such a man [the doubtful] imagine that he will receive anything from the Lord" (James 1: 7).

The Lord commands us to trust Him. Yet we so often have so little confidence in Him, so little faith in His will and desire to respond to the cry of our hearts. When we go to heaven, we will be amazed to discover all the blessings, all the peace and power that we had at our disposal but which we have not appropriated because of our weak faith.

I challenge you to make your faith grow. Ask the Lord to pour into your soul the confidence in His will to respond beyond your expectations to your sincere prayers.

Do you want your faith to grow ? When you pray next time, use the following passages of Scripture to argue with the Lord. He will not deny His own Word.

* "In all times, peoples, trust in him, Spread your hearts in his presence !" (Psalm 62: 8).

* "He will cover you with his feathers, and you will find a refuge under his wings; His faithfulness is a shield and a breastplate" (Psalm 91: 4).

* "When I am afraid, I trust in thee" (Psalms 56: 3).

* "Every word of God is tested. He is a shield for those who seek refuge in Him" (Proverbs 30: 5).

* "For I know the plans which I have made concerning you, saith the LORD, for peace, and not for evil, to give you a future and hope. You shall call upon me, and I will hear you. You will seek me, and you will find me, if you seek me with all your heart" (Jer. 29: 11-13).

Hold fast by faith ! He will answer you.
