Vainquish the fear of fail

"The Lord is my shepherd : I will not lack anything" Psalms 23.1

Why does the Bible compare us to sheep ? Because they are among the most dependent creatures in the world. They must rely on the shepherd for all their needs. And God wants us to be so, dependent on him.

Stop living as if you doubted God's promises !

If you live constantly in fear of missing, your trust in God is insufficient. This visceral fear leads us to many other fears, including fear of disability, fear of aging, fear of investing, or fear of a miserable retirement.

In its extreme form, fear of lacking leads you to live under tranquillizers and other medicines. It is also one of the root causes of greed. Your willingness to insure against a possible shortage can turn into obsession, and make you spare too much.

You will become dependent on work so that neither you nor your children ever lack anything. Like all fears, it is based on a bad perception of God, especially his ability and willingness to take care of you.

Advice for today

"The Lord is my shepherd : I will not lack anything." Stop living as if you doubted God's promises! Start by getting to know them, understanding the conditions he places, respecting them, and resting on his love and fidelity. But do not stand idly by while waiting for God to do what he has put you in capacity to do. Do what is natural and let it take on the supernatural.
