Warm smile

When we had to wear the mask in the streets, I sometimes had difficulty recognizing friends. I no longer saw their warm smiles which showed their contentment or joy. Fortunately, emotions are also noticed by the sound of the voice or the expression of the eyes ! I like to see the smile on the lips of the people around me again, which proves their joy.

Joy, as well as the laughter and smile that express it, comes to us from God. It is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. This inner joy does not depend on circumstances. It cannot be hidden by any mask. It is the result of a true relationship with God. It is the joy of forgiveness fully granted, the joy of salvation: of knowing that nothing can separate me from the love shown through Jesus Christ.

Yes, he showed his love for me at the cross where he died to redeem me. He showed through his resurrection that a new life full of deep joy is within our reach if we want it. This is how God brought a smile back to my mouth. He wants to do it for everyone...
