Way beyond color !

Philippians 2.3 – Do nothing out of partisanship or vainglory, but let humility make you regard others as above yourselves.

We received a video of a man angry about the sale of slaves in Libya. It is true that it stirs anger in our hearts to see men and women sold and thus humiliated. Man is all too often a wolf to man.

However, we cannot help but also think of all those children who, in certain countries, are victims of the sale of their organs. All these young girls who are put on the sidewalk at 10-12 years old by their own parents in order to feed the family. All these men and women around the world who are massacred, tortured because of their faith. Unfortunately, we could continue to write and describe again and again all these atrocities that are happening everywhere on planet earth, whether through actions but also through words.

The definition of racism is as follows : an attitude of principled hostility and rejection towards a category of people. Racism doesn't just refer to our skin color. Racism is in the human heart, whether its skin is black or whether it is white. Moreover, at the risk of shocking you, even those with black skin are racist, sometimes against those with white skin but also against other ethnicities.

What we have to deal with in our hearts, whether we are white, black, yellow or even red with anger, is our heart which always tends to believe itself superior to the other, which likes to dominate and humiliates those whom we believe to be inferior to our own person. I believe it is to this end that the Lord has asked us to consider others greater than ourselves.
