We cannot give to God

Every tithing of the earth, whether from the crops of the earth or from the fruit of the trees, belongs to the Lord. Leviticus 27:30

We have to be the keepers of our money. When it is invested and shared for the glory of God, it can be a boon and a blessing. I know a businessman in Detroit, Michigan, who has promised God that all of his income will go to the Lord's work. He said that his business had tripled and that God had more than completed his end of the market.

Some time ago, I heard a worker from the San Joaquin Valley in California who said that he and his wife had agreed to give a tenth of their income to the Lord. When they made their decision, he could only find work for about seven months a year. Now he says he has a steady job and is earning almost twice what he was before. You can't get around it ; Scripture promises material and spiritual benefits to the man who gives to God.

You cannot give to God. I challenge you to try it and see.

Forgive me, Lord, for the times when I wanted to keep what is yours by right.
