We see Jesus

Paul wrote : "For I have not thought to know among you anything other than Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ crucified" (1 Corinthians 2: 2).

Paul lived at a time when many factions existed in the church, right and left, and they quarreled bitterly. Paul responded to the conflict by saying : "I do not want to know these things. I am here only for one purpose: to live and preach Christ crucified and risen. As a servant of the Lord, I refuse to let myself be emberified in such things."

Paul was then urged to write to his young associate, Timothy, the following warning : "But the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some will abandon the faith, to attach themselves to seducing spirits and Of the doctrines of demons, by the hypocrisy of false teachers bearing the mark of the wilt in their own conscience" (1 Timothy 4: 1-2). The warning Paul gives here is clear: men will come and preach another gospel.

At this very moment, a false Christ is taught, even in some evangelical churches. It is a Christ who does not call for repentance. It is a Christ who accepts immorality and homosexual marriage. It is a Christ who accepts false religions, all so-called in the name of tolerance and love.

The Church we see today is often not as it should be. What is our response to this transvestite church ? We see the true Jesus - the Christ who does not change - and He stands victorious over all this ! No other gospel invented by men can offer the slightest ounce of comfort in times of need.

As Paul said, we can not let this kind of problem distract us. We must not let ourselves be "corrupted and turned away from simplicity to Christ" (2 Corinthians 11: 3). All around us, the world is collapsing, but we see Jesus ! We must believe with confidence that He stands beside us in our suffering, our pain, our trials, all things.
