Well present the product, cognize our target

If I speak with a depressed woman, I must bring her verses that will answer her need. I will not say to her : "Indeed, physical exercise is of little use, while piety is useful for everything, because it is the promise of the present life and the life to come" (1 Timothy 4 : 8). This woman does not play sports, she stays in bed from morning to night, and from evening to morning. It is possible that I would rather use, according to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit at this time, this verse :

"Come to me, all you who are tired and bowed under a burden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). She will find a hope. However, if I talk to a bodybuilder (a bodybuilding champion), the previous verse could be very appropriate. I could show him that bodily exercise is useful, but in a small way, while life with the Lord is useful for everything, not only in this transient life on earth, but for eternity. I could show him that our muscles will pass, but our mind, never, and make him think about what is most important : his eternity.

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for convincing, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be formed and equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3: 16-17 ). All of God's Word is useful, and when we use it appropriately, we will be surprised to see its power ! Oh God's Word is sharper than a double-edged sword, and it has unparalleled power and precision ! We so often despise the power and breadth of the Word of God. We listen to sermons every Sunday, read our Bible daily, without realizing that if the Bible is such a blessing for us, it can be so for anyone ! People are thirsty for the Word of God, but they do not know what it contains ! Seeing the Bible on a piece of furniture, they see it as an old grimoire difficult to understand and past date ! But just a verse in our mouth appropriately, to open the eyes of a person and bring it to the revelation of salvation !
