What best wishes ?

Beloved, I wish that you prosper in all respects and be in good health, as the state of your soul prospers. 3 John 2

In Guadeloupe, on January 1, we will take a "started bath", in the sea and in the river, to wash off the past year. Some even rub with a salted cod tail to get rid of bad waves.

Everyone is trying in their own way to start the year "on the right foot", better than the year which has just ended. And it is customary to present our best wishes to those around us.

Over the years, I wonder what the best one can wish for beyond "health, because without it..."

In the verse cited at the top, and addressing his friend Gaius, John makes original vows. While wishing for the physical health of his friend, John also cares about his spiritual good health.

Is this also your concern ? The coming year will have its share of joys and sorrows, successful projects and abandoned projects. We all want to progress in something, and that is a legitimate desire. But will this year see our spiritual progression ?

I don't know you personally, but I wish you a year that allows you full personal fulfillment. And this fulfillment includes the spiritual realm.
