We too, in fact, were once stupid, rebellious, lost, a slave to all kinds of passion and pleasure. We lived in wickedness and envy, we were hateful and we hated each other. But when the goodness of God our Savior and his love for men were revealed, he saved us. Titus 3.35
What has changed your life ?
“We were seated around a table, six students and two teachers. All were Christians except me. I asked them : What has changed your life ? Why are you so different from others ? "The young girl I was asking this question looked me straight in the eye and said two words : "Jesus Christ." I retorted :
- Spare me this nonsense about religion !
- I did not say : "Religion", she retorted, I said : "Jesus Christ".
My interlocutors challenged me to examine the veracity of the gospels. I took up the challenge with the intention of refuting them. And a few months later, I came to the conclusion that Jesus was what the Gospels said. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, became man to live among us and die on the cross for our sins. He was resurrected three days later, and now lives glorified in heaven. And it can change our lives. I welcomed Jesus and he is now the center of my life.
So what has changed ? First my restlessness : I constantly needed to be busy. A few months after deciding for Christ, a new peace began to grow in me. Then my bad temper : I could "explode" without knowing why. Finally, hatred : I hated my father because he was an alcoholic.
After the decision for Christ, a few months later, a love before God entered my life and was so strong that I was able to look my father in the eye and say : Daddy, I love you."
