What if you had to become a dog ?

And the Word became men, she dwelt among us, full of grace and truth, and we beheld her glory, a glory like that of the Only Begotten from the Father. John 1.14

Here is what famous author CS Lewis said : "Lying at your feet is your dog. Imagine for a moment that your dog, and all the dogs in the world, are in deep distress. Some of us are very fond of it. dogs. If the fact that you became a dog could help all the dogs in the world, get them out of their distress, would you be ready to become one ? Would you like to put aside your human nature, leave your loved ones ?, your work, your hobbies, art, literature and music ? And above all would you like to exchange intimate communion with your spouse (e) in return for the limitation of only being able to look at his face while wagging his tail, everything ? by not being able to smile or speak to him ? Christ, by becoming a man, limited his most precious thing in the world : his perfect fellowship with the Father."

"Out of love for you, the Son came down to earth and became men. He did it for you."

God became men. It is the incarnation. The word "incarnate" comes from the Greek word "sarx" which means "the flesh" or "the body". When Jesus was born in a stable, it was truly Almighty God who incarnated in the body of a baby !

The Bible in John 1:14 tells us : "The Son, expression of God, was incarnated, he became men and lived among us. Yes, we beheld his glorious splendor, a splendor which only the Only Begotten sent by his Father could have. Everything about him was grace and truth."

Out of love for you, the Son came down to earth and became men. He did it for you. He loves you with a passionate love and wants you to have no doubts about it. Why not take 2 minutes to praise him and thank him for the miracle of the incarnation ?

An action for today

Lord Jesus, I want to say thank you for the miracle of the incarnation. Like you, I want to embody myself in society, to reflect who you are and to transform those around me.
