What is your source of encouragement ?

"But your deputy Joshua son of Nun will come in there, encourage him, because he is the one who will bring the Israelites to own the land." Deuteronomy 1.38

- "Well, I think I'll resume my studies !"

- "No, it's useless ..."

- "Why ?"

- "Because, you're bad, you'll never get a diploma !"

I kept the words of my mother-in-law, a few weeks in my heart and in the end they produced their effect : I never went back to school.

You must never forget that he is the first and inexhaustible source of encouragement.

Have you ever been dealing with this type of people who have the art and the way to be discouraging ? Their words are like piercing hammers, they can break you if you pay attention : "Impossible, you will not succeed !"

God deliberately chose Moses to encourage Joshua for the task he was to perform. Who else could have encouraged him better by telling him of the greatness of the man who had done so much for them ?

"The LORD spoke with Moses face to face, as a man spoke to his friend : and Moses returned to the camp, but his young servant Joshua the son of Nun did not go out from the midst of the tent." Exodus 33.11

And for you, how does it go ? When you need to be encouraged, who do you turn to ?

Although God sometimes uses a multitude of people, in order to encourage you, you must never forget that He is the first and inexhaustible source of encouragement.

Your relationship with him will always stimulate your mind. To stand in his presence is the guarantee of being encouraged permanently. "When I called you, you answered me, you encouraged me, you strengthened me." Psalm 138.3

It goes without saying that you, in turn, will be more willing to encourage others, especially those who need it. You will be able to talk to them about the wonders of God in your life, to reassure them and thus to strengthen them in their presence.

"He gives strength to the weary, and increases the strength of him who falls into weakness ..." Isaiah 40.29

Thanksgiving for today

Father, thank you for your Word that encourages me.
