What place does God hold in your heart ?

Search the Scriptures

Delight in the Lord, and he will give you what your heart desires. Psalm 37.4

Living in the frantic pursuit of my own interests, without giving any time to God, has long been my lifestyle. Even if I regularly went to worship on Sundays, however it was only to please my wife !

King David had understood that the key to his happiness came exclusively from his devotion to God : "I ask the Eternal one thing, which I ardently desire : I would like to dwell all my life in the house of the Eternal to contemplate the magnificence of the Lord and admire his temple." (Psalm 27.4)

What place does God hold in your heart ? Is it a priority in your schedule ?

It is so easy to put God in the background. However, let us never forget that if we give him the first place, he will be happy to give us what our heart desires : "Seek first the kingdom and the righteousness of God and all things will be added to you." (Matthew 6.33)

Listen the voice of God

God wants to have fellowship with us. Let's take the time to listen to what he wants to tell us today.

Praying is simple. Speak to God as with your closest friend, for he loves you and can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer : “Lord, you know my heart. You know how important and even essential you are in my life. I ask your forgiveness when I put my concerns and my desires ahead of my relationship with you. put you first. Amen."

Praise God

To praise God is to express our gratitude to him. Do you realize how much God loves you and how faithful he is, even when you are too busy to take time with him ? Praise him with all your heart, adore him, sing for him, because he alone deserves all your gratitude !

Act today

Now, what can you put in place to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take : take a few minutes several times a day to turn to him ; bless him and thank him for your life, your family, your work, your projects, and in anticipation for all that he has planned for you and that you do not yet see accomplished.

Honor the Lord

Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Thank you, Lord, you are the rock of my life ! Yours be the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen !"
