What we will be one day...

Search the Scriptures

My dear friends, right now we are children of God and what we will one day be has not yet been made manifest. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like him, because we will see him as he is. 1 John 3.2

Everything changes in our life when we are born again. The Bible says we become "a new creature; the old has passed away, behold, the new is already there." (2 Corinthians 5.17)

The new birth makes us spiritual children, and like children we are constantly changing. We are growing and developing. We have many different experiences. As we grow we realize that we are not perfect ; that we always make mistakes and fall short, but we continue to change, to grow.

Like a good Father, God does not lose hope when we make mistakes. He knows our nature and our limits. He wants us to learn from our experiences ; that we let him help us, to develop our thoughts and our emotions, to become spiritually strong.

As Father, God watches us with love, looking for ways to protect and guide us. So let's not be surprised when he rebukes us, shows us our mistakes, and points out areas where we need to be corrected or improved.

Our ultimate destiny and nature will only become clear when we are in his presence. Then, "we will be like him" and "we will see him as he is". Until then, we will continue to change.

As you consider your life, always remember that "what we will one day be has not yet been made manifest". You have not yet reached your final form. In reality, you cannot even imagine what you will be like. Only god knows.

Be encouraged by this truth. Obey his Word. Believe. Trust in God. He wants to purify you, help you grow and mature, and increase your likeness to Jesus. Renew your commitment to follow Him. He is your Father and he loves you.

Listen the voice of God

Let's take the time to listen to what God wants to say. Do you need to renew your commitment to God ?

Praying is simple. Speak to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is a sample prayer : "Father, I commit my life to you. Make me in your image. Rule my life. I proclaim that Jesus is my Lord! Use me for your kingdom. In the name of Jesus. Amen."

Praise God

To praise God is to express our gratitude to him. Today, what are your subjects of recognition ? Take a time to thank the Lord.

Act today

Now, deepen what you have received. Ask God what he thinks of you and write it down.

Honor the Lord

Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"My God, thank you for your loving and non-judgmental Fatherly heart. Yours is the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
