"Let not the sun go down on your wrath, and leave no room for the devil." Ephesians 4.26-27
Today, I appeal to your imagination ...
You are on the highway, the road is beautiful, well cleared. The last album of your favorite artist runs in a loop, in short, everything is fine. Suddenly, a driver arrives quickly and makes you a fishtail! What's your reaction ?
- Do you forgive immediately ?
- You moan, but you move on quickly ?
- Are you getting upset ? The machine is switched on and you think, you're over everything you could have done to get revenge ...
Just put your emotions back to the Lord and receive his peace.
Let me tell you something important. Anger is a thief. A thief of peace, joy ... and time. You only have one life. You have no time to lose. Maybe you will say : "But I can not stop that, I'm not God, mustard goes up in my nose, and it does not go easily !"
That's right, without God's help it's very difficult. But with him everything is possible! His Spirit can help you find peace. So when you feel your heart racing, just put your emotions back to the Lord and receive his peace.
Anger is a human emotion that God does not condemn. The Lord understands that this can happen. You are a human being, not a superhero or a superheroine ! Thus, anger in itself is not a sin.
However, the Bible encourages you not to maintain it. The Lord, by his Word, therefore encourages you not to let this feeling, this emotion settle down in time. A sustained anger can turn into bitterness, bitterness, and non-forgiveness. It becomes dangerous for your soul.
An action for today
When you feel anger rising, immediately put the situation in the hands of God. Ask him to put his hand on your heart and help you get through this phase of anger as quickly as possible so that it does not last beyond the day.
