When God says stop !
Search the Scriptures
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Eternal. Isaiah 55.8
Establishing a well-crafted plan to achieve a goal is what most people do. This may be what you are doing now : you have thought long and hard about the person you want to be and you are actively working on it. However, have you taken the time to consult God ? Have you made sure that the goal you are pursuing is part of the plan He has established for your life ?
A few years ago, I was considering going into the restaurant business, which seemed to me to be a great professional activity. Becoming the boss of a restaurant was the insurance for me to lead a comfortable life. However, God stopped my race by telling me : "You are not on the right path, you will be a pastor."
Sometimes we waste a lot of energy, time and effort simply because we are on a path that is not God's. Guided by our emotions, we are convinced that we are in the right direction... until the moment when God says : stop !
It is important for you to know that God will do nothing to harm you. Everything he puts in place in your life is intended to make you prosper in his knowledge and in his grace. So make sure you are on his way !
Listen the voice of God
Take the time to listen to what God wants to say. Have you started down a path that is not the one God intended for you ? Let the Holy Spirit enlighten you on this now.
To pray is to talk to God. Here is a sample prayer you can follow : "Lord, my only desire is to please you and to walk in your ways. Show me if I am aligned with your will right now."
Praise God
Praise God for the person you are today and for the wonderful creature you are becoming !
Act today
Are you sure you are on the path and in the plan that God has planned for you ? Ask Him today in your prayer.
Honor the Lord
Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
"Lord, thank you because you want the best for me. It is good to follow your way. Yours is the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
