When I feel bad...

Searching the Scriptures

Moses said to the Eternal : Ah, Lord, I am not a good man to speak and it does not date from yesterday or the day before yesterday, nor even from the time when you spoke to your servant. Indeed, my mouth and tongue are embarrassed [...] Ah, Lord, send someone other than me. Exodus 4:10-13

Moses clearly suffered from a lack of self-confidence and an inferiority complex. He didn't feel up to God's call. When he had been chosen to speak to the captive Hebrew people in Egypt, he retorted : "My mouth and tongue are embarrassed." The Lord humorously pointed out to him that he was the creator of the mouth.

It is not on your strengths that we should lean but on those of God, infallible. When the Eternal invites you to stand up for His service, what excuse do you have ? Chain yourself, like Moses, pretext after pretext : "Who am I ? I do not have the required qualities... What if people refuse to listen to me or laugh at me ? I have never been a good one ? speaker, I lose all composure in front of an audience... Others are much more competent than me !" Etc.

Faced with your justifications, the Lord encourages you by declaring to you : "It is I who call you and who will perform the miracle. Beyond your littleness, look at my greatness ! Beyond your weakness, look at the power of my name ! Do not be afraid of the reaction of men, for I walk by your side. Do not be anxious and do not doubt your capacities, for it is I who qualify and it is again I who distribute talents. Just place your trust in me, for I will not forsake you, I will not forsake you."

Yes, there will be hard times : you will meet in turn bellicose pharaohs, a sea of ​​obstacles, adversaries to destabilize you, etc., but there will also be times of miracles, dazzling victories and a promised land. ! It is not your stature that is important, it is that of God, oh so immeasurable. It is not on your strengths that we should lean but on those of God, infallible.

The way you look at yourself is hardly forgiving and dwells on imperfections. Instead, contemplate the masterpiece that is born into the hands of the Master !

Listen the voice of God

Let’s take the time to listen to what God means. Do you feel bad ? So, let the Holy Spirit tell you about God's call to your life... and listen to it !

Praying is easy. Talk to God as you would your closest friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example prayer : "Lord, despite all my imperfections, I trust you. My life is in your hands, amen."

Praise God

To praise God is to show him our gratitude. What are your subjects of recognition today ? Take a moment to thank the Lord.

Act today

Now dig deeper into what you have received. What can you do to apply what God has told you ? Write down the concrete actions you can take.

Honor the Lord

Our route for the day comes to an end. Let us pray together to honor our God.

"Thank you Lord, for you will never let me down, as I walk in the destiny you have planned for me. Yours is the reign, the power and the glory, amen !"
