Where is the essential ?

What will be the use of a man gaining the whole world, if he loses his soul ? Mark 8.36

This was the theme chosen in 2019 for BiObernai, the Organic Agriculture Fair in Alsace, which is held every year at the foot of the medieval ramparts of the charming city of Obernai. In the leaflet presenting this show, it is specified that “this question invites visitors to ask themselves what is essential for them... and above all to implement it in their lives ! This theme was chosen during a reflection issued on the occasion of a previous show. “We are surrounded by lots of people who are not (yet) unhappy, but whose lives lack meaning. If they can leave BiObernai with a new impetus...”, explained the program manager.

Going to the essentials, giving meaning to your life... How not to share this concern! 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ came from God to live and witness among us in order to enlighten our darkness and give meaning to our life. He wants to guide us towards the Essential, God our Creator, and restore the relationship with him. He loved us to the point of offering his life as a ransom for us to free us from the bondage of sin. Reconciled with God, filled with his peace and his love, our life can take not only a new impetus, but a completely different orientation. And what we learn from Jesus is a wonderful program to implement in our lives !
