Who have you entrusted your life to ?

David replied to Gad : I am in great anguish ! It is better to fall into the hand of the Lord, for his mercies are great. I prefer not to fall into the hands of men. 1 Chronicles 21:13

We are sometimes very careful about the list of ingredients that make up our food, written on the back of the packaging. However, we sometimes breathe polluted air every day without it being embarrassed... Sometimes we buy certain products without worrying about where they come from or how they were made and by whom. It is possible to choose to buy vulgar copies when this trade is prohibited, without worrying about supplying parallel and prohibited markets... Have you ever translated the lyrics of the songs we all listen to, without paying attention to them in supermarkets or in our car ? Have you ever realized how much we can be influenced or conditioned by everything that is said there ?

Have you ever wondered, in which hands you would trust your life, and realize that it is only in Jesus that you can do it ?

"Stop placing your trust in the human being ! His life is but a breath ! How much is he worth ?" (Isaiah 2.22)

A basketball in my hands costs 5 €. In the hands of Michael Jordan, it is worth around $ 33 million. It all depends on the hands that hold it.

"It all depends on the hands in which everything is !"

A tennis racket in my hands is worthless. In the hands of Roger Federer, it is a winning formula. It all depends on the hands that hold it.

A stick in my hands will be used to hunt the wild animal. In the hands of Moses he will perform miracles and split the sea in two. It all depends on the hands that hold it.

A slingshot in my hands is a child's toy. In David's hands, it is a formidable weapon. It all depends on the hands that use it.

Maybe two small fish and 5 pieces of bread in my hands will feed a family. In the hands of God, thousands will eat and be satisfied.

Nails in my hands will be used to make a bench or a chair. Nails in the hands of Jesus Christ will bring salvation to the whole world. It all depends on the hands they are in.

As you can see, it all depends on the hands doing the work. So put your life, your worries, your family, in the hands of God because... everything depends on the hands in which everything is found !

A prayer for today

Lord in your hands, I entrust my life. Guide me and let me not take it back for myself...
