Who seek found

"You will seek me, and you will find me, for you will seek me with all your heart, and I will find myself with you." Jeremiah 29. 13

This expression "who seeks finds" is so used that, nowadays, it has practically become proverbial. It is said to a person who has lost something and who would like to get their hands on it. It is said about researchers who, patiently, in their laboratories, try to find "a cure for the ills of humanity ! But it is especially said to children and adolescents to encourage them to find their own solution to their problems rather than always rely on a prepared response from their parents.

This formula is also used in certain aspects in the Word of God : by the mouth of Jeremiah, God speaks to the members of his people (verse of the day). Jesus also expressed it in his earthly passage : "Seek, and you will find" (Matt 7: 7).

It was God who sought us first, found us in our misery and brought us into his light. It's our turn to look for him : to beg for forgiveness and regain his fellowship when we let sin enter our lives, but also day after day, to have a life in its proximity; this is his Father's advice : "My heart has said for you : Seek my face. I will seek your face, O LORD !" (Ps. It is also the secret of a happy and blessed walk with him : "You who seek God, your heart will live" (Ps 69. 32).

To seek God at all times is the source of the blessings of every believer, for he is responsible to receive with gratitude what his Father gives him. To seek God in order to remain permanently in the light of His presence is paramount, because when our attention is drawn to other purposes, God passes in the background of our life. He does not abandon us, but is waiting for our return ; he is waiting for us to seek him again to continue his blessings on us.

May each one keep God in his field of vision ; he will thus have a radiant life ; there is a reward for the key : "If you seek God, and you supply the Almighty ... your end will be very great" (Job 8: 5-7).
