"Wildlife documentary"

God is great, but his greatness escapes us. Job 36.26

Watching a wildlife documentary, I marvel at God's creation. I would like to share it in a meditation. Where can I find a biblical text for my illustration ? In the first pages of Genesis, I find the description of the creative work of God in its beginnings, but that is not what I am looking for. I open the book of Job and start flipping through its pages. And there, at the end of the discussions between Job and his friends, I discover chapters dealing with creation, the greatness of God's work (chapters 36 and 37).

I continue reading. The Lord speaks to Job and discusses with him his work in creation, as well as his providence (chapter 38). He then speaks to him about animals : lions, deer, onagers, buffalo, ostrich, horse, birds of prey... He then describes in detail the hippopotamus and the crocodile in chapters 39 to 41.

Wouldn't that be one of the first "wildlife documentaries" ? At the end of the “program”, Job addresses the Lord in these words : “Yes, I have spoken without understanding them of marvelous things that are beyond me and that I did not know." (Job 42.3)

Are you as amazed as Job and I are at the greatness of our Creator's works and His providence for our world ? So tell it around you ! Yes, how great is God !
