With God, ye do not have none fear at have

"Of David. The Lord is my light and my salvation : whom shall I fear ? The Lord is the refuge of my life : whom shall I fear ? "Psalms 27.1

It is common for small children to be afraid of darkness. Behind this, it is the fear of the unknown that seizes them: what lies behind this great black hole, under my bed ... ? But adults also have their fears. These dark situations, in front or behind us and which scare us. Is that your case today ? What frightens you ? Remember that God is the light and that He is your light. You do not have to be afraid.
The Lord is the refuge of your life. This refuge can be attacked, but it will hold good.

The Bible tells us of a day when a Syrian army encamped around a city of Israel. The prophet Elisha was in the city and his aide-de-camp was afraid. Elisha said to him ... "Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more numerous than those who are with them." Then Elisha prayed, "Yahweh, open his eyes that he may see : and the Lord opened the eyes of the servant, and saw the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha." 2 Kings 6.16-17

How is it possible to have no fear when an army is camping against you ? Realizing that those who are with you are more numerous than those who are against you. Praying that God opens your eyes so that you may realize that you are surrounded by the grace and love of God and that even the angels of God are at the service of those who are to inherit salvation, the Bible tells us, That is to say to your service too ! Hebrews 1.14

The Lord is the refuge of your life. This refuge can be attacked, but it will hold good. The Bible says again in Psalms 46: 2 : "God is for us a refuge and support, a help that is always in distress. That is why we are without fear when the earth is upset ..."

Do not be afraid. Let not your heart be troubled. Have faith in God. Be full of confidence. Jesus said to you this day : "It is I, be not afraid." John 6.20

A prayer for today

Lord, I know that whatever happens to me today, you are there, always at my side. Your presence reassures me, for it is far more resistant than all the fortresses, far more valiant than all the armies combined. Lord, you are with me, you are the refuge of my life, I will not be afraid of anything. Amen.
