Witness to Jesus love

When the Lord came to earth to dwell among us, He had a very specific purpose, one that was formed before the foundations of the world. He came with the mission to teach us about the Father, to do great works, to save us from sin and to free us from all servitude.

This kind of Savior would naturally attract the attention of the dominant powers of this world, but despite all the deadly hurdles cast on him by man and Satan, Jesus was able to accomplish his goal.

We live in a world that is not unlike the one in which Jesus entered two millennia ago. According to most sources of information today, many in America are disturbed by the idea of ​​a Savior like Jesus. In recent years, school administrators, national media and even government officials have reacted strongly - and negatively - to the public mention of Christ's name. This should not surprise us, because Jesus predicted that, as the day of his return approaches, "the love of many will grow cold" (Matthew 24:12).

Not long ago, a national Christian children's hospital submitted an advertisement to a television sports network that refused to broadcast the ad unless the word "Jesus" was removed. In addition, the patriarch of the family appearing on the popular TV show Duck Dynasty said that the Bible does not tolerate homosexuality and he has been called a bigot, a homophobe and a hater. Obviously, these are minor persecutions compared to those suffered by Christians in nations where Christianity is forbidden. During my visits to more than sixty countries, I saw the daily difficulties that overseas believers endure. Still, I can assure you that very soon things will get worse for the church in America. The persecution will get worse because the gospel continues to frustrate those who walk in the darkness.

May our hearts be governed by the love of Jesus Christ so that we may witness to his love and see his plans accomplished in the midst of this corrupt generation.
