Women in ministry !

Proverbs 14:1 – A wise woman builds her house, and a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands.

As Christian women, we receive gifts and talents from God so that we can make them work. We love God and we aspire to serve him. This is completely normal.

I would like to continue this text by telling you that this aspiration is wonderful, but there is a but ! Indeed, I often say that when the enemy cannot stop us, he pushes us. Our God is a God of balance. However, many Christian women walk in complete imbalance when it comes to God's calling and make no mistake, this imbalance can have serious consequences.

We are among those who encourage women to rise up in what they have received from God. Nevertheless, for some women, the service of God, having a ministry, has become the priority of their life and we find that this "priority" is made to the detriment of the family, the education of children, balanced meals, cleaning the house...

How many women are in the service of God and their homes are upside down : the dishes are lying around in the sink from evening to morning, the linen is piled up to "heaven", the little ones are "carried around" for vigils of endless prayers to the detriment of the child's sleep, and all of this, of course, to put the Kingdom of God first.

If all the tasks of daily life may seem less spiritual, they are in reality no less so than the "ministry" and I would even say that above all "ministry", this is what must come first. Does this mean that the woman is relegated to do only everyday tasks ? Of course not, but even if it is not always easy, she must find a balance. How ? 'Or' What ?

The first thing is obviously our relationship with God, to seek his Kingdom and not the ministry. What we need to understand is that we can do the dishes while praising God, iron while praying, etc. We will not be less spiritual for all that.

The second thing is to ask God to help us as women to live balance in our lives.

Finally, having common sense and not tearing down our house by our own hands for “ministry”.
