Wonderful answer

Wonderful answer

The preacher Spurgeon had preached in the suburbs of London, and when he sat down on the train that brought him home, he found that he had no more his ticket. A man, seated in the same compartment as him, seeing that he was rummaging in the depths of his pockets, said to him amiably :

- I hope you haven't lost anything.

- Yes, in fact, I lost my ticket, and unfortunately, I have no money with me. But I worked for my Master ; also everything will end well. He has already helped me so many times, for big or small things.

His traveling companion expressed his sympathy to him.

The controller came by shortly after, to check the tickets. He greeted Spurgeon's neighbor very politely, and this trip told him briefly :

- Everything is in order.

The controller bowed again and left.

'It's curious,' said Spurgeon, 'that the ticket inspector didn't ask to see my ticket.

- Yes, answered the other. Mr. Spurgeon, that's really proof that God is watching over you. Actually, I'm the general manager of this line, and God has run it in such a way that you just came to my compartment. It has been a pleasure for me to be able to help you in this way.

Let us remember this beautiful formula : our difficulties are the opportunities of God. This servant of God has experienced it, we can do it too.
