The eyes of the Eternal stretch out throughout the earth, to sustain all those whose heart is entirely his. 2 Chronicles 16.9

Who can probe my personality, my feelings, my thoughts ? Technologies are progressing, we know the human body better and better from a medical point of view, our living spaces are being explored more and more and communications are crossing distances at breakneck speed. However, in all these exterior or interior dimensions of man, the wisdom of God surpasses all prowess and inventions and human genius. Impossible, according to the psalmist, to escape God, his gaze, his call. He sees, he knows each one of us. No one can hide from his eyes.

The Eternal knows all the history of men, their misfortunes, their anguish, their vain agitations. He sees the distress of wars, earthquakes, shipwrecks of migrants and modern and sudden epidemics.

Faced with all this, he did not leave humanity in disarray, he did not abandon it to its final fate which would be the grave. In his immense love, God sent his only Son to earth. He identified himself perfectly with the life of his creatures. His historic design passed through Bethlehem, Galilee and Golgotha.

How can we not wonder about this immense greatness of the Most High, who knows everything, and about this perfect closeness of the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, who came to live on earth to deliver us from our sins ?
